The Client
This project involved a comprehensive redesign and consolidation of a major mental health advocacy organization’s digital ecosystem. The goal was to transform a fragmented network of websites into a unified, user-centered platform that effectively communicates their mission and impact to key audiences within the healthcare policy sector. This initiative focused on strategic consolidation, design modernization, and content strategy optimization under a tight timeline and budget.

Complex Content Needs
Effectively communicating the organization’s work and impact to diverse audiences within the healthcare policy sector required a clear and compelling content strategy.
Limited Resources
The project was executed under a low budget and a short, critical timeline, requiring efficient resource allocation and rapid iteration.

How We Got There
To understand the organization’s needs and identify opportunities for improvement, we conducted a streamlined discovery process.
Lean Stakeholder Discovery Workshops
I facilitated focused workshops with key stakeholders to gather essential insights and define project objectives
Comparator Reviews
I conducted thorough comparator reviews, in collaboration with the primary stakeholder contact, to analyze best practices and identify areas for differentiation.
Strategic Audit and Audience Analysis
I conducted a strategic audit of the existing websites, including content and analytics reviews, and performed an audience analysis to identify detailed improvement opportunities.
What I’m most proud of
To meet the extremely tight timeline, I leveraged existing components as much as possible instead of creating new components whenever possible to save time on development.
I created a visual outline documenting the changes and made sure to thoroughly annotate the functionality changes for ease of handoff to backend and frontend developers.
I had to get really creative to make existing design patterns work for our new content strategy, and it paid off. We delivered a beautiful site on-time and within budget.
